Take it easy, that is Riceslow's philosophy. Find out how Riceslow stays so zen, despite his busy schedule, in this guest post. Practicing relaxation and self-love is so important and crucial to our well-being. Until I discovered yoga in the early ’90s, I wasn’t too zen or happy with myself, to be honest. I discovered yoga when I was in Ricemonster University, and I fell in love with the yoga. Now I travel the world to teach yoga and meditation, I also have a yoga and pilates studio in Ricetown Center. Here are a few of my favourite poses to start the day in a relaxed and zen way. Mountain Pose (Tadasana) Tadasana is the foundation of all poses, stand tall and straight like a mountain and breath. This is a great pose to improve your posture and learn to balance. Prayer Pose (Pranamasana) In Pranamasana, the palms are held together in the prayer pose. It creates a sense of relaxation and concentration and helps to find your inner peace. Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Shvanasana) Downward Facing dog is an inverted pose. It reverses the flow of blood to the head and upper body. This pose nourishes the brain with ample blood supply and can relieve headaches and migraine. It can improve cognition and other brain functions. Warrior Pose (Virabhadrasana) The warrior pose is a strong and powerful pose that commemorates the exploits of a great warrior. It improves balance and strengthens the whole body. Corpse Pose (Savasana) Savasana is my favourite pose, it as all about relaxation. It is the hardest pose for most, after all it is hard to be as zen as me. Namaste Noo-friends!
